Recently I’ve been fixated on nice shoes. I find myself splurging quite a bit in the shoe department. Since it is currently winter I’ve been rocking boots quite a bit, I love my Red Wing’s and also my pair of Wolverines, however, I work in a profession which requires me to wear a suit each day to work. As much as I just want to throw on a pair of boots I obviously need something a little classier for the office. I’ve been an Allen Edmonds fan for a while, their dress shoes are made right here in the U.S. and offer great leather and construction right down to the goodyear welt. While I love the classiness of dress shoes I also like to have fun a bit. A.E. offers a great collection called the Rough Collection, which features shoes for the office and for play.
These I picked up on sale for $240, they are the McTavish. They are a beautiful pair of shoes with amazing style and perforations. I definitely recommend coping a pair of Allen Edmonds, they are recraftable and should last you a lifetime if you treat them right.
